I saw this Lego Brick Cake or Jelly Mold and I had to show it to you. Just mix up a cake or jelly recipe and pour it into this fun, brick-shaped mold to create tasty desserts shaped like real LEGO bricks. You may want to buy several and make a bunch at once. You could even ice them in different colors. How fun! |

Celebrate Mardi Gras with a King Cake

Today is Mardi Gras! Celebrate 'New Orleans style' with a King Cake. The maker of each King Cake hides a token in the cake after it is baked. It can be a dried bean or a tiny plastic "baby". Whoever finds the token gets good luck the following year and has to provide the King Cake at the next party. If you were lucky enough to get the "baby" but don't have a clue how to make a King Cake, take heart - King Arthur Flour has created a complete King Cake Mix, inlcuding the yeast dough, filling and icing mix with colored sprinkles. (You have to get your own "baby".) |

Party with a Snowman

Time for another food day! It is National Cake Day, and what better to give or receive for the Holidays? This Snowman Cake from Harry and David will festively usher in the Holiday season. Is everybody ready for cake? Today, you better be. It's National Spongecake Day. And doesn't this Chocolate Marquis just look moist and succulent. The ingredients: chocolate, spongecake, and yumminess; the nutritional info: fattening, full of calories, and delicious... what more do you need to know? Dieting and losing weight, cheating and splurging, it's all the same. So ladies, get down off your stairsteppers, men blow the air out of your chests, and ya'll give the people at the gym a break. Today, trade vanity for a good piece of cake. |
