Be Smart When Frying Your Turkey

Bayou Classic turkey Fryer Kit

Are you planning to fry your Thanksgiving Day turkey?  If you are then you need a good fryer, and this Bayou Classic Turkey Fryer Kit from ComforChannel.com will help you be prepared to fry a delicious turkey.  Some people are scared of frying a turkey, as they have heard the stories about people catching their house on fire, etc.  Fried turkey is a yummy way to serve your turkey and if you just follow some simple rules it can also be safe.  Here are a few tips to make sure that you don't have to call 911 for a turkey fryer accident this Thanksgiving...

  • Do not try to cook a turkey that is to big for your fryer.
  • Do not wear loose fitting baggy clothes that could fall into the grease.
  • Do not cook on your deck or in your garage, cook in the yard.
  • Keep children and pets away, you are using hot oil.
  • Make sure you thaw your turkey, hot oil and ice don't mix well.
  • Do not over fill your fryer with oil.
  • Keep a fire extinguisher close by, do not use water on the fire.

Will You Eat Anything?

DVD- Weird Foods This DVD would be a gift for that childhood friend of yours that would eat anything.  If someone dared them, they would eat it.  Who knows they may have eaten something that in this DVD would be considered a delicacy.  Andrew Zimmern travels around the world to find the most bizarre, disgusting and weird foods then eats them.  In the UK he eats stuff like haggis, neeps and tatties, cockles and whelks.  Sounds appetizing, doesn't it?  You can get this video at The Discovery Channel Store.

What's for Dinner?

Today is National Personal Chef's Day. Personal chefs were thought to be a fad just a few years ago and something only the rich could afford.  Today personal chefs are a growing industry.  Many people want to eat healthy home cooked meals and having someone else do it makes it all the better.  Plus the chefs have more flexibility than chefs working in restaurants. They can set their own schedules and not have the pressure of working in the restaurant industry.  So hat's off to all the personal chefs today.  Take the day off and have someone fix a meal for you.

You Are Not The Next Food Network Star!

Cooking Report Cards for Grownups

If adults received report cards for everything they did then people would perform better or there would be a rise in anxiety disorders.  This Cooking Report Card for Grownups could either help your spouse, friend, or family member develop cooking skills good enough to host a show on the Food Network or could lead to more divorces and more cases of crime against family members.  If you have found it difficult to tell a family member that they are a horrible cook then maybe you need these report cards then you don't have to tell them to their face.  Or you could always try giving them hints that they can't cook.

1)Pray after you eat.

2)Buy Antacids in bulk packages and bring them to the dinner table.

3)Make 911 the first number on your speed dial.
