Have a Geeky Thanksgiving

Hand Butler

Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner and if you are planning to have the big meal at your house then you may need a hand serving all your guests.  This Hand Butler from What on Earth is a fun little gadget that will help you serve your snacks and drinks.  So break out the Lego cutlery, electric gravy boat, electric knife, and origami-folded napkins and have a geeky Thanksgiving celebration.  What you may experience at a geeky Thanksgiving dinner party...

  • The traditional turkey will not be served you will probably be served a Turducken or a Ham cooked in Coca-Cola.
  • Included in the Thanksgiving decorations may be plush microbes in honor of the Pilgrims bringing diseases to the New World.
  • When everyone begins telling what they are thankful for you will defiantly hear plenty of thanks for fast internet connections, their favorite operating systems, their favorite gaming systems, etc.

Oyster Time

Oysters Rockefeller

As a previous resident of the Gulf Coast, I look forward to the months that end in an "r". Now that we are in the oyster season again, I look for new ways to cook my favorite shellfish. This is one way I haven't tried yet, and the good people at Gorton's have done all the work for us with these delicious Oysters Rockefeller. A mixture of spinach, parsley and breadcrumbs is folded together with jumbo oysters then baked on the half shell. Yum!

Just heat and eat - how easy is that? Great for an intimate party of two or a decadent party of one! Quanity discounts for bigger parties.
