Cookin' Up at College Instructional DVD

Cookin' Up at College DVD

Sending your high school grad off to college? Want to be sure they don't live off of energy drinks and pizza? Then prepare them to take care of themselves in the kitchen with the Cookin' Up at College Instructional DVD. It's not just recipes, it's an easy-to-follow guide to basic home cookery, nutrition, grocery shopping, and kitchen safety.

I had a roommate in college that could only cook hamburgers, and her boyfriend had taught her how to cook that. Isn't that sad? This one's for you, Karen.

The Complete UFO DVD MegaSet

Complete UFO DVD MegaSet

The year is 1980, and the aliens have landed. Earth's only hope is S.H.A.D.O. (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization), led by the stalwart Ed Straker (the only American actor in the cast). The Complete UFO DVD MegaSet shows you every bit of their future; a moon base, a submarine with a Skydiver sub/jet and lots of other cool high-tech gadgets.

I love British tv shows. This show is from 1970, created by Gerry Anderson after Thunderbirds and before Space:1999.

And the cars are the coolest! GM should have considered some of these designs!

"Penfold... Shush!"

Dangermouse : The Complete Series DVD MegaSet

It's going to be incredibly hot this weekend, so I'm going to stay inside, make some chocolate chip cookies and watch some DVDs. This set is very high on my list of "gotta have" videos. DangerMouse: The Complete Series DVD MegaSet has 9 DVDs with 89 episodes, enough for a full-bore DangerMouse marathon!

DangerMouse is a wacky and hilarious adventure featuring a secret agent mouse and his trusty bumbling sidekick hampster assistant, Penfold. Along the way they poke fun at James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Who, the movie Alien and Indiana Jones. So make a pitcher of iced tea, nuke some popcorn, pop in the DVD and - say, "Penfold... Shush!"

Let's All Go Looney Tunes!

Looney Tunes Golden Collection DVD Volume 6

I love classic cartoons, and this Looney Tunes - Golden Collection DVD has 60 remastered and unedited cartoons of Bugs Bunny, Sylvester and Tweety, Daffy Duck and the gang from Merry Melodies all in a 4-disc set. It also includes a collection of wartime shorts.

These are the original cartoons, so they have not been edited to make them "PC". This collection is intended for adult collectors of the LOONEY TUNES series and contains scenes that may not be suitable for children.

Make some popcorn, I'm ready for the show!

Jeff Dunham Spark of Insanity DVD

Jeff Dunham Spark of Insanity DVD Jeff Dunham has added some new personalities to his cadre of "dummies." I remember when Jose Jalepeno (on a Stick) was a new character. Now he has Achmed the Dead Terrorist, who is incompetent with explosives. Jeff Dunham - Spark of Insanity DVD will give you a hilarious evening of fun, which might help dissipate some of the little bits of insanity that build up until "Boom!" You blow your top!

Hot-Cold, Up-Down, In-Out, Let's Go!

Baby's First Impressions Opposites DVD

The First Impressions Opposites DVD is very visual and full of imagination. Your little one will learn differences like hot/cold, left/right, up/down and many more!

You can call it opposites, but around here we just call it being contrary. As long as you can get them to pay attention and learn something then I guess it's ok.

Sailed the Ocean Blue

Today is Columbus Day.  In 1942 Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain with hopes of finding a new trade route to the the Indies.  What he found instead was the New World.  Actually he found the Bahamas instead of America, but you can't blame a guy for trying.  This Christopher Columbus: Life & Voyages DVD Set is a great gift for anyone wanting to learn more about the man behind this holiday.

Will You Eat Anything?

DVD- Weird Foods This DVD would be a gift for that childhood friend of yours that would eat anything.  If someone dared them, they would eat it.  Who knows they may have eaten something that in this DVD would be considered a delicacy.  Andrew Zimmern travels around the world to find the most bizarre, disgusting and weird foods then eats them.  In the UK he eats stuff like haggis, neeps and tatties, cockles and whelks.  Sounds appetizing, doesn't it?  You can get this video at The Discovery Channel Store.
