A Giant Gummy Bear

Giant Gummy Bear This is a Gummy Bear that is 88 times larger than the standard Gummy Bear.  All I can think is that this gift is 88 times the bouncing off the walls, being loud and spazzing out by the kid who eats it.  Give this gift at your own risk.  Vat19 has a video on the history of the Giant Gummy Bear.  Funny!

Baby Baboon - Fun, Delightful, or Scary?

Baboon

Let me introduce you to Baku, the interactive Baboon.  A gift idea for kids that could be fun and delightful.  You can make him excited by tickling his feet and rubbing his belly and you can calm him down by holding his hand and patting his head.  He makes sounds and movements just like a real baby baboon!  He snores when he sleeps and if you ignore him he will let you know.

Thank goodness he has an off button!

Extra Large Stuffed Giraffe This giraffe is 5 feet tall!  I guess that's why they call it GiantStuffedAnimals.com.  They have anything and everything in giant size.  Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Bugs in the Tub...

The LadyBug Shop carries this cute gift idea that the little ones will have fun playing with in the tub.

Did you know that ladybugs are considered good luck?  In many countries the little beetles are thought to bring good luck to people.  For farmers, the ladybugs are good luck since they eat all those pest that eat their crops.  If you have a pest problem in your garden you can order ladybugs to help control them.  Just a little ladybug trivia.

Don't Play with Your Food

Construction Eating Utensils Momma always told you "Don't play with your food!"  Well, this gift idea is saying just the opposite.  Aren't they cute?  A fork, spoon and a pusher that all look like construction vehicles.  I guess someone finally decided that kids are going to play with their food no matter what, so why not make it fun and maybe they will eat in the process.  It says these are FDA approved and no paints so they are safe.  Who knows, maybe at the dinner table all you will hear is construction sounds instead of whining.  Sounds like a winner to me!  You can get this Construction Eating Kit at Wee Can Shop.

Hairstyle Appreciation Day

Salon Chair for Dolls

Today is Hairstyle Appreciation Day.  Hairstyles change from year to year and decade to decade.  Remember the Beehive or the duck tail?  These were the hot styles of the 60's.  Farah Fawcett brought us the feathered look in the 70's and big hair and the mullet were all the rage in the 80's.  The 90's brought us "The Rachael".  So what's hot now?  A hairstyle says a lot about person, short, long, shaved, curly or straight, it is one of the ways we demonstrate our individuality.  Celebrate this day by either changing your hairstyle, or showing your appreciation for someone else's choice of style.
