Science You Can Eat

The Science Chef Cookbook

Why do onions make you cry? What makes popcorn pop?

As anyone who has done any baking knows, there is a lot of chemistry involved in cooking. Get one thing wrong and that cake turns into a volcano and you end up with a big mess to clean up.

The Science Chef helps children learn science through cooking projects. 101 fun recipes where you get to eat your experiments! For ages 8 and up.

Magic Penny Magnet Kit

Magic Penny Science Kit

Developed by a professor at Brunel University in London, this fascinating kit lets you explore magnetism in a completely new way, thanks to the magnetic properties of British pennies and two extra strong Magic Penny magnets. (In case you didn't know, since 1992 the British penny has been minted in copper-plated steel, thus allowing it to become magnetic. I watch WAY too much BBC.)

Includes one US penny for comparison.

Note: This award-winning kit has been declared illegal in several southern states as it has been condemed as  "witchcraft", because, as everyone knows, you can 'spend a penny' but you cannot 'spin a penny' without touching it.

Where Would the World Be?

Hand Stapler No one in the world deserves more appreciation than the teachers that are responsible for educating the people of tomorrow.  Today is World Teacher Day, and any gift or any token of gratitude is welcomed on this day.  I thought this Handi Stapler was just a fun idea from Office Playground.
