Good Luck Daruma Doll

Good Luck Daruma Doll

A symbol of good luck and protection in Japan, a Daruma Doll is traditionally given to someone starting a new venture, celebrating a birthday, or at the beginning of a New Year. At the start of an endeavor, one eye is painted and a wish is made for good luck. The other eye is painted when the goal is reached.

There is a big change coming, and I have a feeling that with this next year we will need all the luck we can get to put our country on a new path. Maybe we should band together and send a bunch of these to the White House. What do you say?

Mezuzah In Space!

"Apollo" Mezuzah Cover

A mezuzah is a small rolled parchment scroll that is placed within a mezuzah cover. After a special blessing is recited, the mezuzah is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes

Inspired by the 1960s missions for man to land on the moon, Israeli artist Laura Cowan's "Apollo" Mezuzot traveled into space on May 31, 2008 with American astronaut Greg Chamitoff. It measures 5" x 1" and is made of stainless steel.

Mezuzah In Space! How cool is that?

I'm a Little LeakFrog, Short and Stout - Ribbit!

LeakFrog Water Alarm

Cute little bugger and handy, too. This little LeakFrog hides under your sink, in the basement by the water heater, near aquariums, behind the washer or any where you may have a water leak. It sounds an alarm when it detects as little as 1/32 of an inch of water and keeps sounding off for as long as 48 hours.

Sits on wood, carpet, tile, metal, or concrete. He even floats in big puddles!

For only $12.99 I'd buy several. Great as a housewarming gift for for those people whose homes have old plumbing or small children that like to play "Let's see if this is too big to flush down the toilet".
