Girl Power

Today is a day to celebrate women in sports. A gift related to their favorite sport or a healthy gift basket would be appropriate for National Girls and Women in Sports Day. NGWSD was started in 1987 to remember Flo Hyman. Hyman was an olympic volleyball player and worked to assure equality for women's sports. This day has become a day to recognize women's sports achievements and the struggle for women in sports.
