For all ladies over 50 and enjoying life, Happy Red Hat Society Day.   Celebrate today with the gift of a red hat like this one from Red Hats and More.  The founder, Sue Ellen Cooper, along with some friends decided to greet middle age head on with humor and fun.  The story begins with Sue buying a hat for her friend's birthday and later the poem "Warning" by Jenny Joseph.  A connection was made and today we have The Red Hat Society.  For more information visit the Red Hat Society website.

Today is National Pig Day.  This should not be confused with any other types of pigs or persons you might consider pigs, we are actually talking about the cute pink pig on the farm.    Have fun with your pig loving friends on this day! 

Did you know that pigs are actually very intelligent animals?  You can teach them how to do tricks and some people even have them as pets.  And didn't I hear something about a pig that went to the city?  Oh yeah, now I remember, that was a movie, but that sure was a smart pig.
