According to Hoyle Day is to honor a little known English man Edmond Hoyle whose only accomplishment is writing down rules to common games. With Hoyle's book of rules there was no question to how a game was played. If you know someone who likes to change the rules of the games you can always tell them "according to Hoyle"... and make sure they play by the rules. Of course the game of Fluxx the rules are always changing and so is the goal not something Edmond Hoyle would have liked. |
