A mezuzah is a small rolled parchment scroll that is placed within a mezuzah cover. After a special blessing is recited, the mezuzah is affixed to the doorpost of Jewish homes Inspired by the 1960s missions for man to land on the moon, Israeli artist Laura Cowan's "Apollo" Mezuzot traveled into space on May 31, 2008 with American astronaut Greg Chamitoff. I don't crunch numbers, but last I heard more people in the US drank than read. So today, for Read a Book Day... forget sitting down to that novel or boring biography and pick up the good book.
