It Was 40 Years Ago Today

Skype Internet USB Phone It was 40 years ago today that the internet officially came into being. Engineers at UCLA and the Stanford Research Institue in California sent the first data between nodes, then known as Arpanet. You are reading this story now because of them. They used phone lines so that two computers could talk to each other. With this Skype Skybee USB Internet Phone, you can use your computer to talk to someone using their computer over the phone line.

The G-Man's Convertible Travel Jacket

The G-Man's Convertible Travel Jacket

This waterproof and breathable jacket eliminates the need to remove wired devices and send items through airport security individually because it can be sent through the X-ray scanner with all items securely placed in dedicated pockets.

With over 40 pockets, there is a place for everything. This could possibly eliminate one carry-on bag!

Blu-ray is the Champion!!!

Planet Earth Series Blu-ray DVD Set

If you having been waiting to see who the victor will be of the format wars before committing to buying a new player,  then wait no longer as Blu-ray is the champion (as if we didn't already know).  Toshiba went down for the count and announced that they will not be creating anymore HD-DVD's.  As Sun Tzu a Chinese General stated, "The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities...It is best to win without fighting."   Go Blu-ray!!

Now commit, and buy a new player, then begin to build your collection, start with one of the best-selling Blu-ray discs Planet Earth.  The Planet Earth series has some of the most amazing footage that I have ever seen, and it is even better on Blu-ray.

Electronic Personal Trainer

SUUNTO Foot Pod Exercising is not always the most enjoyable task, but if you have a personal trainer or what I call a "slave driver" then it is not so hard to stay motivated. The Foot Pod from Eastern MountainSports is the perfect addition to a wristop computer and training manager software. This is no ordinary pedometer it can measure each stride, distance, time, and will alert you when you are not keeping up with the speed limits that you have set for yourself. It will be your little electronic motivator. This is a great gift for any fitness nut!
