A Safer Way to Open an Oyster

Oyster Opener

Now that we're back into the "safe" months for oyster eating (those months that end in "r'*), you're going to need a safe way to open those little lovelies. And after the "incident" with the mandolin slicer, I keep an eye out for gadgets that will help keep my digits fully intact. This looks like one of those things my granpa used to make up with some of scrap lumber and a piece of pipe, but this Oyster Opener is one handy helper, especially if you have to shuck for a crowd.

No more oyster knives for me!

*Made you talk like a pirate!

Almost as Good as Rosie! Robot Floor Washer

iRobot Scooba Floor Washing Robot

Did you ever wonder why Rosie from The Jetsons always had to have a vacuum cleaner?  She was a robot maid it looks like she would have came with a built-in vacuum, mop, or any other tool needed to clean.  Well, this cool robot floor washer is almost as good a Rosie, it can clean all hard surface floors by prepping, washing, scrubbing, and then drying the floor. This robot may not be able to wash the windows or do the dishes, but it can keep you from having to mop, which I loathe.  This is a great time-saver and would be great gift for anybody that can never find the time to clean, which is just about everybody.  This handy robot is available from CircuitCity.com for $244.96, and is well worth every penny by the time it will save.
