Roses are Red, Umbrellas are Too!

Roses Umbrella

Today is  Umbrella Day, and what better way to celebrate this holiday than to get rid of that ugly or plain-looking umbrella you own and get yourself a fashionable umbrella.  This Roses Umbrella from What on Earth is a beautiful umbrella that you will be proud to carry and display by the front door of your home, no need to shove this umbrella in the closet or trunk of your car.  So trash that old umbrella, better yet here are a few ideas on ways to recycle that old umbrella...

  • If you love to take picnics in the park, but can't stand fighting with the insects on who gets to enjoy the food first, then take that old umbrella cut off the handle and it makes the perfect shield for your food.
  • If you are a gardener then there are several uses for that ugly umbrella, you can use the ribs as plant stakes, or remove the fabric put the handle in the ground and you have an instant trellis for all those climbing plants, protect new plants from an unexpected frost by chopping off the handle for instant frost-protection.
  • Use it to dry your clothes, remove the fabric and hang it upside down from your shower curtain rod for a convenient place to hang those wet clothes.

Fiber-Optic Starry Sky Umbrella

Fiber-Optic Starry Sky Umbrella Umbrellas can be used to shelter you from the rain or shade you from the sun. The Starry Sky Umbrella is more for the night or a really dark and stormy day. Thanks to sophisticated fiber-optic technology, the stars really twinkle and glow, turning a classic black umbrella into an awesome light display. Tiny LEDs either shiny in a steady glow or blink on and off at your choosing. Pair this with someone walking with the "Blade Runner" umbrella and you'll have a unique parade.

Didn't I see this in "Men in Black" somewhere?

Great for Mardi Gras, too!
